Affiliate Disclosure

The short version

• "Support Fondfully when you shop" is off by default. Nothing changes unless you turn it on.
• When it's on, some store links you open may carry Fondfully's affiliate tag, and if you then buy something, Fondfully may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
• It never changes prices, or what Fondfully shows you.
• The tag is added on your phone. Your clicks and purchases are not sent to our servers.
• We list every affiliate program we take part in on this page before we tag any links for it.

1. What the setting does

You'll find the setting in the app under Settings › Shopping › Support Fondfully when you shop. It's off until you turn it on.

When it's on, and you open a store link from an idea or a gift, the app checks whether that store is in an affiliate program we take part in. If it is, the app adds Fondfully's affiliate tag to the web address at the moment you open it. The link you tucked away doesn't change. Links that carry our tag show a short line right under the link, such as "Supports Fondfully at no cost to you".

When it's off, links open exactly as you tucked them away. Links on gift brief pages are never tagged.

2. What Fondfully may earn

If you buy something after opening a tagged link, the store may pay Fondfully a small commission. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway. The store pays the commission, not you.

Fondfully has no ads. Affiliate commissions, like Plus, help keep it that way.

3. Programs we take part in

None yet. Until we join a program and list it here, the setting doesn't tag any links.

Before we tag links for any store, we'll add its program to this list, together with any statement the program asks us to make.

4. What never changes

• Prices. A tagged link costs you nothing extra.
• What Fondfully shows you. Fondfully doesn't recommend products, rank stores or choose what you see based on commissions. Your ideas are your own.
• Your privacy. Fondfully has no ads and doesn't track you, whether this setting is on or off.

5. Your privacy

• The tag is added on your phone, using a list of participating stores that the app downloads from us. Your clicks are not sent to our servers, and we don't learn which links you open or what you buy.
• When you visit a store through a tagged link, the store can see that you arrived through Fondfully's tag, and may use cookies or similar technology to credit the purchase to us, under its own privacy policy.
• Reports we receive from stores show things like which products were ordered through our tag and the commission. They don't tell us who you are.

6. How to turn it off

Open Settings › Shopping and turn off Support Fondfully when you shop. From then on, links open exactly as you tucked them away. Your choice is part of your vault, so if you sync, it applies on all your devices.

7. Why we tell you this

We want you to know exactly how Fondfully makes money. This disclosure follows the US Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. A short version appears beside the setting in the app and under every tagged link, so you see it where it matters, not only on this page.
