Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to making Fondfully usable by everyone, what the apps and website support, what we know still needs work, and how to tell us.
The short version
We want everyone to be able to remember the people they love with Fondfully. The apps follow your phone's accessibility settings, the website works with a keyboard and screen readers, and if something gets in your way, we want to hear about it.
1. Our commitment
We design and build Fondfully to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, larger text, switch control, voice control or reduced motion. We follow Apple's and Google's accessibility guidelines in the apps, and aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA on fondfully.com, including gift brief pages.
2. What the apps support
- Larger text. The apps follow Dynamic Type on iPhone and font size and display size on Android, up to the largest standard sizes. Cards and lists grow instead of cutting text off.
- Screen readers. VoiceOver and TalkBack can read every screen, and every icon-only button has a spoken label.
- Not just color. Occasions and gift progress use color and dots, but the same information is always written out: occasion names in the calendar list, status lines like "Bought · arriving Dec 2", and amounts beside every budget bar.
- Contrast. Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 (3 to 1 for large text) in both the light and dark themes.
- Light and dark themes that follow your phone, with a manual choice in Settings › Appearance.
- Reduced motion. When Reduce Motion (iPhone) or Remove animations (Android) is on, decorative movement stops, including the floating parcel on the welcome screen and card transitions.
- Comfortable targets. Buttons and controls are at least 44 by 44 points.
- Several ways to capture an idea: typing, pasting a link, a photo or a voice note.
- Feedback you can see and hear. Haptic taps are never the only confirmation; a message confirms actions like tucking away an idea.
- Native controls. The apps use the standard iOS and Android controls wherever possible, so they work with the assistive features you already use.
3. What the website supports
- Everything can be reached and used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator.
- Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and labeled form fields, so screen readers can navigate them.
- Text can be resized to 200 percent without losing content.
- Pages follow your system's light or dark setting and reduced motion preference.
- The bot check on the gift brief claim form, provided by Cloudflare, usually needs no interaction. If it ever blocks you, contact us and we'll help.
4. Known limitations
We're completing our pre-launch accessibility review. These are the areas we're checking, and we'll update this list with what we find and fix:
- [To be confirmed: results of the VoiceOver audit of every iPhone screen.]
- [To be confirmed: results of the TalkBack audit of every Android screen.]
- [To be confirmed: results of the WCAG 2.2 AA review of fondfully.com and the gift brief page.]
- [To be confirmed: accessibility of the calendar grid when navigating day by day with a screen reader.]
- [To be confirmed: accessibility of the receipt scanner and voice recording screens.]
- Receipt scanning relies on the camera and on automatic text recognition, which can misread text. Every detail can be checked and edited by hand.
5. Compatibility
The apps support iOS 17 and later, and Android 9 and later. The website supports current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge.
6. Tell us what's not working
If anything in Fondfully is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please tell us:
- in the app: Settings › Help › Contact us;
- by email: support@fondfully.com, with "Accessibility" in the subject.
Please tell us what you were trying to do, which device and assistive technology you use, and what happened. We aim to reply within five business days.
7. About this statement
This statement was prepared in September 2026 from our own review of the apps and website against our design system and the guidelines above. We'll review it at least once a year, and whenever we make significant changes.
