Accessibility Statement

The short version

We want everyone to be able to remember the people they love with Fondfully. The apps follow your phone's accessibility settings, and the website is built to work with a keyboard and screen readers. We aim to meet WCAG 2.2 at level AA, we haven't finished checking everything yet, and if something gets in your way, we want to hear about it.

1. Our commitment

We design and build Fondfully to be usable by as many people as possible, including people who use screen readers, larger text, switch control, voice control or reduced motion. In the apps, we follow Apple's and Google's accessibility guidelines. On fondfully.com, including gift brief pages, our goal is to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA, and we use the same guidelines as our measure for the apps.

Fondfully hasn't had an independent accessibility audit yet, so we don't claim that it fully conforms to WCAG 2.2 AA. Section 4 explains what we've checked and what we're still working on.

2. What the apps are designed to support

• Larger text. The apps follow Dynamic Type on iPhone, and font size and display size on Android, up to the largest accessibility sizes. Cards and lists grow instead of cutting text off.
• Screen readers. We give icon-only buttons spoken labels for VoiceOver and TalkBack, and calendar days are read out with their date and the occasions on them.
• Not just color. Occasions and gift progress use color and dots, but the same information is also written out: occasion names in the calendar list, status lines like "Bought · arriving Dec 2", and amounts beside every budget bar.
• Contrast. Our color pairs were chosen and checked for a contrast ratio of at least 4.5 to 1 for text (3 to 1 for large text), in both the light and dark themes.
• Light and dark themes that follow your phone, with a manual choice in Settings › Appearance.
• Reduced motion. When Reduce Motion (iPhone) or Remove animations (Android) is on, decorative movement stops, like the floating parcel on the welcome screen.
• Comfortable targets. Buttons and controls are designed to be at least 44 by 44 points.
• Several ways to capture an idea: typing, pasting a link, a photo or a voice note. You never need the camera or microphone: everything can be typed.
• Feedback you can see. Haptic taps are never the only confirmation; a message confirms actions like tucking away an idea.
• Native controls. The apps use the standard iOS and Android controls wherever possible, so they work with the assistive features you already use.

3. What the website is designed to support

• Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator and a "Skip to content" link.
• Pages use meaningful headings, landmarks and labeled form fields, so screen readers can navigate them.
• Text can be resized to 200 percent without losing content.
• Pages follow your system's light or dark setting and your reduced motion preference.
• The home, manual, support and legal pages work without JavaScript.

4. What we've checked, and what still needs work

What we've checked (September 2026):

• Automated checks with axe-core, against WCAG 2.2 AA, on each kind of page on fondfully.com, including the gift brief page, in both light and dark themes. They found no issues. Automated tools only catch some kinds of problems, so this isn't a full review.
• Larger text on iPhone at accessibility sizes, on the Home and People screens.

Known limitations:

• We haven't yet finished a full, screen-by-screen review of the apps with VoiceOver and TalkBack. Until we have, a control may be unlabeled or hard to reach. If you find one, please tell us, and we'll fix it.
• On iPhone, Fondfully works in portrait orientation only.
• Receipt scanning relies on the camera and on automatic text recognition, which can misread text. You can add a receipt by hand, and check or correct every detail.
• Gift brief pages need JavaScript, because the brief is decrypted in your browser with the key in the link.
• The bot check on the gift brief claim form, provided by Cloudflare, usually needs no interaction, but it can occasionally ask you to confirm you're human. If it ever blocks you, contact us and we'll help.
• Our manual and legal documents are available in English only.

We'll update this list as we review and fix things.

5. Compatibility

The apps support iPhone with iOS 17 and later, and Android 9 and later. The website supports current versions of Safari, Chrome, Firefox and Edge.

6. Tell us what's not working

If anything in Fondfully is hard to use, or you need information in a different format, please tell us:

• in the app: Settings › Help › Contact us;
• by email: support@fondfully.com, with "Accessibility" in the subject;
• by phone, if email doesn't work for you: +1 (312) 401-4626.

Please tell us what you were trying to do, which device and assistive technology you use, and what happened. We aim to reply within five business days.

7. About this statement

We prepared this statement in September 2026, from our own review of the apps and website and the checks described in section 4. It covers fondfully.com and version 1.0 of the iPhone and Android apps. We'll review it at least once a year, and whenever we make significant changes.
