The short version

  • Plus Yearly costs US$19.99 a year in the United States and renews automatically every year until you cancel. Plus Lifetime costs US$49.99, paid once, and never renews. There's no free trial.
  • Apple or Google bills you. The store shows the exact price in your currency, and any tax, before you confirm.
  • Cancel any time in your App Store or Google Play subscriptions: at least 24 hours before your renewal date on the App Store, or at least 48 hours before it on Google Play. Plus keeps working until the end of the year you've paid for.
  • We'll email you a confirmation when you buy Plus, and reminders before each yearly renewal.
  • If Plus ends, nothing in your vault is deleted. You go back to the free plan's features.

1. About these terms

These Subscription Terms are part of our Terms of Service. They apply to Fondfully Plus, whether you buy it, receive it through Family Sharing or a code, or we grant it to you.

When you buy Plus, you buy it through the App Store or Google Play, and your purchase is also governed by the terms of that store: the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, or the Google Play Terms of Service. On billing, payment and refunds, the store's terms apply, together with anything more our Refund Policy offers.

2. The plans

  • Plus Yearly is an automatically renewing subscription with a one-year term, billed once a year.
  • Plus Lifetime is a one-time purchase that gives you Plus for as long as we offer Fondfully. "Lifetime" means the lifetime of the Fondfully service, not of any person or device. It doesn't renew, and there's nothing to cancel. We'll email you a receipt when you buy it.

Plus currently includes: unlimited people; sync between your devices; receipts and return-window reminders; memories with photos; gift briefs for family; and on iPhone, a second backup to Google Drive. Section 13 explains how Plus can change.

3. Prices and taxes

In the United States, Plus Yearly costs US$19.99 a year and Plus Lifetime costs US$49.99, plus any sales tax. Prices in other countries and currencies are set in each store and may differ. The App Store or Google Play shows the exact price, including or adding taxes as local law requires, before you confirm your purchase.

4. Automatic renewal (Plus Yearly)

Please read this section before you subscribe.

  • Plus Yearly continues until you cancel it. At the end of each year, it renews automatically for another year.
  • What you pay: the yearly price shown when you subscribe (US$19.99 in the United States), plus any tax, for each renewal. If the price changes, you'll be told in advance, as section 6 explains.
  • When you pay: your first payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google account when you confirm the purchase. On the App Store, each renewal is charged within the 24 hours before your current year ends. On Google Play, each renewal can be charged up to 48 hours before your new year begins.
  • To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date on the App Store, or at least 48 hours before it on Google Play.
  • Canceling takes effect at the end of your current year. Plus keeps working until then, and you won't be charged again. There's no minimum commitment beyond the year you've already paid for.
  • You can cancel online at any time, using the steps in section 5.
  • Confirmation and reminders. When you subscribe, we'll email you a confirmation of these renewal terms and how to cancel. Before each yearly renewal, we'll email you twice, about 35 days and again about 20 days before your renewal date, with the renewal date, the price of that renewal, the last day to cancel and how to cancel. The last day we give is a little early, so it's safe wherever you are. We send these to your account email address, and only while your subscription is set to renew.

By tapping Subscribe, renews yearly on the Plus screen and confirming the purchase with Apple or Google, you agree to these automatic renewal terms. The store also sends you a receipt for your purchase and for each renewal. You can read these terms any time in the app under Settings › About, and at fondfully.com.

5. How to cancel

On iPhone or iPad:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Fondfully.
  4. Tap Cancel Subscription, then confirm.

You can also cancel on a Mac, in the App Store (click your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then find Subscriptions), or on the web at account.apple.com, signed in with the Apple Account you used.

On Android:

  1. Open the Google Play Store app.
  2. Tap your profile icon, then Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
  3. Tap Fondfully.
  4. Tap Cancel subscription and follow the steps.

You can also cancel on the web at play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, signed in to the Google account you used.

From Fondfully: while you have Plus Yearly, Settings › Membership shows Manage subscription, which opens the store's subscription page.

Store menus change from time to time; Apple's and Google's help pages have their latest steps.

Please note:

  • Deleting the app, or your Fondfully account, doesn't cancel a subscription. Cancel it in the store.
  • Only you, or Apple, can cancel an App Store subscription; we can't do it for you. If you bought Plus Yearly on Google Play and can't cancel it there, email support@fondfully.com from your account's email address, and we'll cancel it for you through Google Play. Plus keeps working until the end of the year you've paid for, and we'll tell you that date.
  • When you cancel, you won't get a refund for the rest of the current year, except where the law or the store's policy provides one. See our Refund Policy.
  • Plus Lifetime doesn't renew, so there's nothing to cancel.
  • You can subscribe again at any time.

6. Price changes

We may raise the price of Plus Yearly for future years, with advance notice, for example because our costs, taxes or the features in Plus change. We'll never change the price of a year you've already paid for.

Before a higher price applies to your subscription, you'll be told the new price, when it starts and how to cancel:

  • by Apple or Google, under their rules, which in some cases ask for your agreement first; and
  • by us, by email to your account address, about 30 days (and never less than 10 days) before your first renewal at the new price.

Where the store's rules or the law require your agreement to a higher price, your subscription won't renew at that price unless you agree. You can always cancel before a new price takes effect.

7. Free trials and introductory offers

We don't offer free trials or introductory prices. If we ever do, the Plus screen and the store will show how long the offer lasts and the price you'll pay after it, before you confirm, and we'll remind you before the offer ends where the law requires it.

8. Family Sharing (App Store)

Plus Yearly and Plus Lifetime bought on the App Store can be shared with up to five other members of your Apple family group through Family Sharing, if the buyer shares their purchases or subscriptions with the family in their Apple Account settings. Each family member needs their own Fondfully account, so they must be 18 or older, and keeps their own private vault; Family Sharing shares the membership, never your vault. If a family member doesn't see Plus, they can tap Restore purchases in Settings › Membership. A family member's access through Family Sharing ends when the buyer's Plus ends, or straight away if the buyer stops sharing or gets a refund, or if either of them leaves the family group.

Purchases made on Google Play can't be shared with other accounts.

9. Codes and Plus we grant

  • We may offer codes for Plus, redeemed in Settings › Membership › Redeem a code or on the Plus screen. A code gives Plus for the time stated when it's issued, or with no end date if it says so.
  • Codes have no cash value, can't be exchanged or refunded, aren't for resale, and may have a deadline for redeeming. Unless it says otherwise, each code can be used once, by one account.
  • We may also give Plus to an account directly, for example while we help with a store problem.
  • Redeeming a code doesn't pause or cancel a store subscription. If you have both, manage the subscription in the store.
  • We may cancel codes, or Plus obtained with them, that were obtained fraudulently or in breach of our Terms.

10. Your plan belongs to your account

  • Plus is attached to the Fondfully account you're signed in to when you buy, restore or redeem it. It works on every iPhone or Android device where you sign in to that account.
  • One purchase unlocks Plus for one Fondfully account, plus family members through Family Sharing on the App Store. A purchase made while signed in to one Fondfully account can't be moved to another.
  • If Plus doesn't appear, use Settings › Membership › Restore purchases, signed in to the store account you bought with.
  • If you delete your Fondfully account, Plus on that account ends, including Plus Lifetime, and we can't move it to a new account. Cancel any subscription in the store before you delete.

11. Payment problems

If a renewal payment fails, Apple or Google keeps trying to collect it for a while:

  • On Google Play, Plus keeps working during Google's grace period, which for Fondfully is normally 14 days. If payment still hasn't gone through, Google puts the subscription on hold, and Plus pauses until you update your payment method. Google keeps trying for up to 60 days in total.
  • On the App Store, Apple keeps trying to collect payment for up to 60 days. Plus keeps working during any billing grace period Apple gives; otherwise it pauses until the payment goes through.

If the store collects the payment, your subscription continues and Plus comes back, at the latest the next time you open Fondfully. If it can't, the subscription ends and your account moves to the free plan.

12. What happens when Plus ends

Whether your subscription lapses, you cancel, a refund ends your purchase, or a code runs out:

  • Nothing in your vault is deleted.
  • People: everyone you've added stays. To add new people while you have 5 or more, you'll need Plus again.
  • Sync: sync between devices pauses. Your vault keeps backing up from one device, and you can still restore it.
  • Receipts: your receipts stay, and you can view and export them. Adding new receipts and return-window reminders are part of Plus.
  • Memories: your memory photos stay. Adding new photos is part of Plus; memory notes are always free.
  • Gift briefs: briefs you've already sent keep working until they expire, and you can still stop sharing them. Sending new briefs is part of Plus.
  • Second backup on iPhone: the extra copy in Google Drive stops updating. It stays in your Drive until you delete it.

If you get Plus again, these features come back.

13. How Plus can change

We may add features to Plus, and improve or change the ones it has. If we ever significantly reduce what Plus includes, we'll tell you at least 30 days in advance. If you're on Plus Yearly, you can cancel before the change takes effect, and you may be eligible for a refund where the law or the store's policy provides one. If you bought Plus Lifetime, we'll keep providing the Plus features listed in section 2, or equivalent ones, for as long as we offer Fondfully. If we ever stop offering Fondfully altogether, we'll give at least 90 days' notice, so you can export your vault, and we'll tell you how to cancel Plus Yearly and ask for a refund of any unused time.

14. Refunds

Apple decides refunds for App Store purchases. Google, or we, can refund Google Play purchases. Our Refund Policy explains how to ask for one, and how we can help.
