Account deletion, support and legal

How to delete your account and what happens to your data, how to reach us, and where to find our legal documents.

You can leave whenever you like, and take your vault with you. And if something's not right, a real person reads every message.

Before you delete your account

  • Cancel Plus first if you subscribe. Deleting your account doesn't cancel a subscription with Apple or Google. See Membership, billing and restoring purchases.
  • Plus stays with the account. Plus Lifetime, or any Plus bought on this account, ends when you delete it and can't be moved to a new account.
  • Export your vault if you'd like to keep anything: open Settings, then Privacy & security, then Export your vault.

Delete your account

  1. Open Settings, then Account, and tap Delete account.
  2. Read what will be deleted from our servers.
  3. Choose whether to also delete your vault in your iCloud or Google Drive, and on this phone.
  4. Type DELETE to confirm.

We send one last email to confirm your account is deleted.

What happens on our servers

Within 24 hours, Fondfully deletes your account from our servers, including:

  • your email, name, password and sign-in methods,
  • your signed-in devices,
  • your plan, purchase and code records,
  • your support messages and any screenshots you sent,
  • any notes our team added while helping you,
  • gift briefs you've shared and their claims, so their links stop working.

If you signed in with Apple, we also end Fondfully's access to your Apple sign-in. Copies in our server backups are replaced within 30 days. Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases.

Your vault

Your vault isn't on our servers, so what happens to it is up to you:

  • In your cloud: if you chose it, Fondfully deletes the vault from your iCloud or Google Drive. If not, it stays there.
  • On this phone: if you chose it, Fondfully deletes the vault from this phone. If not, it stays until you delete the app.
  • On other devices: delete the app on each one.

To delete the vault from your cloud yourself later:

  • iCloud: in the Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud, then Manage Account Storage. Tap Fondfully, if it's listed, then delete its data.
  • Google Drive: on a computer, open drive.google.com, click the gear, then Settings, then Manage apps. Find Fondfully, click Options, then Delete hidden app data.

Can't sign in to delete?

Our page at fondfully.com/account-deletion explains every option. If you can't sign in, email privacy@fondfully.com from the address on your account and ask us to delete it. We'll check the request comes from you first.
