People and profiles

Add someone once and Fondfully remembers the rest: their sizes, their dates, what they love and what to steer clear of.

Add someone

1. Tap People, then +.
2. Type their name. It's the only thing you have to fill in.
3. Add whatever helps: a relationship (like Mom or Neighbor), a group (Family, Friends, Kids, Work or Other), their birthday, their city, a color for their avatar and any notes.
4. If they're a child, turn on This is a child.
5. Tap Save.

For a birthday, pick the month and day. Add the year too if you know it, and Fondfully can show their age. Their birthday appears on your calendar straight away. If you later change it on their profile, the calendar follows.

Children and adults

Turning on This is a child shapes the profile around how quickly kids change:

• Into right now replaces Loves.
• With a birth year, the birthday chip reads like "Turns 8 on Nov 3" and the header shows their age.
• Share with grandparents appears under their sizes, ready to send a gift brief.
• Fondfully checks in now and then about what they're into.

The Kids filter in People shows everyone marked as a child, whichever group they're in.

Finding people

People are listed by whose occasion comes next, with a countdown on the right. Each row shows the relationship and a couple of sizes or interests, like "Mom · Top M · Shoe 7.5".

• Tap a chip to filter: All, Family, Friends, Kids or Work.
• Use the search field to find someone by name, relationship, size or interest. Searching "7.5" finds everyone who wears that size.

Sizes

Sizes sit in tiles on the profile. You can add clothes, top, bottom, dress, shoe, ring, coat, hat, gloves, bra, or a size with your own label.

Tap a tile to change it. When you change a size, its "Updated" date sets itself to today. At a glance you'll see that a shoe size is from August and might be due a check.

Loves, avoids and allergies

• Loves are the things that always land, like gardening, mystery novels or dark chocolate.
• Avoid is for things to steer clear of: "strong perfume, anything that needs dusting, and gift cards."
• Allergies show as chips with an alert icon at the top of the profile, so you see them every time.

Add loves with the add chip on the profile. To add avoids and allergies, or to remove anything, tap Edit.

Into right now

For a child, add what they love this season under Into right now: dinosaurs, watercolor, a favorite show.

When something fades, open Edit and mark it not anymore. It moves to a "Not anymore" line, like "Not anymore: unicorns, Paw Patrol", so you remember without it cluttering the list.

The profile also shows when you last checked, like "Checked Aug 14." If nothing has changed, tap Still true and the date moves to today.

When a child has at least one current interest and 90 days pass without a check, Fondfully sends one gentle nudge: "What is Maya into these days? A quick check keeps the ideas fresh." You'll get at most one of these per child a month. You can turn them off in Settings, then Notifications.

Ideas and history on a profile

• Ideas lists what you've tucked away for them, with why and the price. Tap Tuck one away to add another.
• Given before lists past gifts with the memory line you added. Tap All memories to see them in the Vault.

Import birthdays from Contacts

1. In People, tap Import in the note at the bottom of the list. You can also do this during setup.
2. Allow access to your contacts when your phone asks.
3. Pick the people you want. The list shows contacts that have a birthday.
4. Confirm, and each person is added with their birthday on your calendar.

Fondfully only reads your contacts. Nothing is written back, and nothing from your contacts is sent to Fondfully's servers. On iPhone, if you've shared only some contacts with Fondfully, only those appear.

The free plan's limit

Fondfully Free holds up to 5 people. When you add a sixth, by hand or from Contacts, Fondfully shows you Plus, which has room for everyone. See Membership, billing and restoring purchases.

Delete someone

Open their profile, tap Edit, then Delete person. Fondfully asks first: "Delete Linda? Their ideas, gifts and sizes are removed from every device."
