Memories

The best part of a gift is how it lands. Memories keep that moment, so next year you know what worked.

Add a memory

1. Open the gift and set its status to Given.
2. Tap Add a memory.
3. Write a line about how it landed, like "Took it on the very next trip."
4. On Plus, add a photo too.
5. Tap Save.

Memory notes are free for everyone. Memory photos are part of Plus.

The timeline

Tap Vault, then Memories. Your given gifts are grouped by occasion, newest first, like "Christmas 2025 · 8 gifts, $412". Each card shows the photo (or the occasion's color), the gift, who it was for, the price and your note in quotes.

Tap a card to open the gift. Use the chips at the top to see Everyone, or just one person.

Before your first memory, you'll see "When you mark a gift as given, add a line about how it landed. It becomes a memory here."

Memories on a profile

Each profile has a Given before section: the gifts you've given that person, with your memory line and the price. Tap All memories to open the timeline for just that person.

Why they help

• No repeats. Given gifts feed the repeat alert, so Fondfully can tell you when a new idea looks like something they already have.
• What worked. "Rides it every weekend" is a strong hint for next year.
• What they have. When you share a gift brief, Already has keeps relatives from doubling up.

Changing a memory

Open the gift from the timeline or the person's profile, and edit the memory there. You can rewrite the note, change or remove the photo (adding photos is part of Plus), or clear the memory altogether.

Where memories live

Memories are part of your vault, like everything else. Photos are encrypted on your phone and backed up to your own iCloud or Google Drive. They never go to Fondfully's servers. On another device synced with Plus, a photo downloads when you open it.
